1. Acceptance
By accessing or using DemoCritic ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by English law.
2. The Service
DemoCritic provides an AI-powered pitch coaching and diagnostic platform. The Service includes:
- A free pitch diagnostic tool available without an account.
- Paid subscription tiers (Core, Pro) with voice practice sessions against AI buyer personas.
- FIND scorecards and session analysis generated by AI.
AI-generated feedback is for coaching purposes only. It does not constitute professional sales, legal, or financial advice.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- One account per person. We reserve the right to merge or close duplicate accounts.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
- You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no pro-rata refunds are issued for unused time.
- Extra-minute purchases are non-refundable one-time payments. Purchased minutes expire at the end of your billing month.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to subscribers.
- Failed payment will result in automatic downgrade to the Free tier after a 7-day grace period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the AI models, prompts, or persona data.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service.
- Upload or transmit malicious code or attempt to disrupt service availability.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
6. Intellectual property
- The DemoCritic platform, including its codebase, AI prompts, prebuilt personas, and design, is owned by DemoCritic Ltd and protected by copyright law.
- You retain ownership of the content you input (e.g. your pitch, company details). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process this content to deliver the Service.
- AI-generated output (scorecards, transcripts, feedback) is provided to you for personal use. You may not republish it commercially without our consent.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- That AI feedback will be accurate, complete, or result in improved sales performance.
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by English law, DemoCritic Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
9. Termination
- You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@democritic.co.
- We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for breach of these terms or for conduct we determine to be harmful to other users or the Service.
- On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will give you at least 14 days' notice of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
